WesTrac returned to Ascot Racecourse Friday 14 to Sunday 16 June 2024 and showcased the latest and greatest of Cat® technology and more.
Perth Tradie Expo is the go-to end of financial year event for contractors, tradies, purchasing offers and DIY enthusiasts offering deals on tools, machinery, commercial vehicles and more.
The event featured Recruit WA – The Job Ready Event. It offered even more for attendees who were looking for a new role or a change in their career path.
In 2024, the event returned to Ascot Racecourse from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 June.
In 2024, WesTrac joined forces with Recruit WA to bring an increased presence to the Expo. Attendees found the WesTrac recruitment team at the entrance of the Recruit WA tent. Our team were on-site all weekend to talk about careers at WesTrac, trade upgrades and skilled jobs.
For everything machinery and attachments, WesTrac had a huge setup at The Lodge. We brought attendees an exclusive sneak peak at the brand-new Cat® 255 Compact Track Loader. Recently unveiled in Sydney, this was the first look at this machine in Western Australia. Offering an increased engine torque, a bigger cab for more comfort, higher lifting capacity and more, the compact track loader is your new best friend on the job site. At the event in 2024, we had Cat product specialist Rohan Mills giving people daily walk-throughs of the new machine, showcasing its industry-first features and improvements over the D3 series
Attendees were able to get up close and personal with a wide range of Cat construction equipment and machine attachments at the event in 2024, including skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, excavators, grader blades, mixing buckets, cold planers and more.
For the first time, we also partnered with Telethon and donated $5,000 for every new machine purchased over the weekend. On site we showcased a trailer/machine combo “Expo Only Special” for:
Attendees were able to take advantage of the last month of our 0.9% finance* of the full range of Cat mini excavators, skid steer and compact track loaders. Attendees who purchased machinery at the Expo were able to pick it up the following week because all machines were built to spec and ready to work.

Our Recruitment team was onsite at the event every day to answer any questions attendees had about job opportunities at WesTrac.

In 2024, we setup the ‘WesTrac Kids Corner’; an exclusive space packed with activity for the kids. Kids who visited our site played basketball on a compact track loader, soccer in the bucket of a small wheel loader, totem tennis on a mini excavator and more!
