From 1 July 2018, the NSW Government has made new apprenticeships fee-free – meaning no more upfront training costs for students or employers under the smart and skilled reform.

WesTrac Institute Tomago (NSW) offers full qualifications that are nationally recognised, either fee for service or for eligible students this may be partially funded through smart and skilled.
WesTrac Institute Guildford (WA) offers full qualifications that are nationally recognised through Jobs and Skills WA - The Department of Training and Workforce Development's Apprenticeship Office administers training contracts and regulates the apprenticeship system in Western Australia.
Both WesTrac Institutes offer a variety of safety training that provides participants with the underpinning skills and knowledge to safely work on mobile equipment within the construction and mining industries that are nationally recognised where the student will be issued with a statement of attainment

Technicians for the World is a Caterpillar® sponsored online program for individuals seeking a new and exciting career as a service technician.
If you are a student in a vocational school pursuing a technical diploma, this is a great way to expand your knowledge and build your resume.
Upon completion, you can use your newly acquired knowledge and your certificate of completion in the marketplace to improve your opportunities of landing a technician’s job in the auto, trucking or heavy equipment field, including at WesTrac.
Caterpillar has created this curriculum using courses from their very own Global Service Technician training program. The curriculum consists of 22 courses covering topics such as the basics of diesel engines, electricity, hydraulics, powertrain and much more.
