WesTrac will bring family-friendly fun to Elizabeth Quay for RTS in 2021

The Resources Technology Showcase (RTS) is a family-friendly free exhibition that gives the general public a chance to see the amazing technology and innovation driving the mining, resources, defence and space industries in Western Australia. As an entrant to #RTSPerth, you’ll interact with virtual reality, drones, robots and the latest in Cat® equipment.
After skipping a year due to COVID-19 restrictions, RTS makes its big return to the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in 2021 on June 21-22, from 9am to 4:30pm on both days. Entrance to RTS is free but online registration is required.
Just like in 2019, WesTrac is on board as an RTS partner for 2021. Two days before the event starts, WesTrac and Caterpillar® will have a major Cat equipment display setup right in the heart of Elizabeth Quay – a mere stone’s throw away from the exhibition centre. Our display will be open to the public on June 19-27, from 10am to 5pm each day. This means it remains open a full week after #RTSPerth ends, giving ample opportunity for you and your family to experience it.
Our display will transform Elizabeth Quay, highlighting some of the world’s best mining and construction equipment as well as technology solutions. When you visit us, you’ll get up close to some big pieces of Cat equipment and learn about the latest technological advancements such as electric-drive machinery and autonomous operations. During the weekends and expo days, we’ll be running live demonstrations of our Cat Next Generation 325 Excavator and you’ll also have the chance to jump in a Cat Next Gen Mini Excavator and move some dirt around (safely, of course).
What will the display look like? Check out this time lapse video we put together showing our display at RTS in 2019:
In addition to the display at Elizabeth Quay, WesTrac and Caterpillar will also have a large booth setup inside the exhibition centre with a virtual reality training console, mini cinema and Cat merchandise.
WesTrac team members will be at the booth and display every day to answer any questions you have about our machinery, technology solutions and job opportunities at WesTrac. While our display is designed to showcase Cat equipment, its main purpose is to inspire you (and your children) to explore exciting career options and opportunities in the resources industry.
If you are bringing children enrolled in Year 11 or 12 (or the equivalent from diverse backgrounds), we’ll also have representatives from the Motivation Foundation at our booth to offer advice on pathways for them into the resources industry.
In Elizabeth Quay, we’ll have over $4.5 million worth of Cat machinery on display including:
If you’ve always wanted to get a photo next to a giant Cat dozer or excavator, you won’t want to miss checking out our display and saying hi to one of our team members – who will be more than happy to take a photo for you (just don’t forget to tag us on Facebook and Instagram when you share it and use the official hashtag: #RTSPerth).
