With our huge inventory of new, used and rental equipment, WesTrac has the right machine for the job.
What began as a humble venture, with the purchase of a Cat® 120H Grader, has since evolved into a nationally recognised business - inspired by a simple lick of jet-black paint.
Headquartered on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Final Trim Excavations’ machines stand out from the crowd, but the business is known for more than just its dark-hued equipment.
Celebrating 20 years of operation, the company – also known as FTX - is recognised as a leader in supplying top-notch wet hire equipment to all sectors of the civil industry.
From building trades and subdivisions to conducting roadworks and major highway construction, FTX has grown in scale and size, which Managing Director Tom Campbell attributes in part to WesTrac.
“WesTrac’s customer support is top-tier, and the FitFleet Essentials Package, which remotely monitors our machines, is excellent for detecting issues before they arise,” he says.
“It’s a brand we trust, offering the best machinery on the market in terms of safety, comfort, and aftercare maintenance support."
“This level of support really makes my life easier. Whether it’s ordering parts from Parts.Cat.Com or booking in a service – it’s all easy with WesTrac.”
From the outset, Tom has always preferred Cat gear due to its dependable and well-built solutions, but more importantly, Cat equipment has remained ahead of the game when it comes to innovation.
As an operator requiring the latest technology, Tom has witnessed significant changes in equipment technology over the past two decades.
“Operators once relied on feel and manual checks, but they now use advanced GPS and UTS machine guidance systems from the comfort of their cabs,” Tom explains.
“We've prioritised staying current with the latest technology to ensure we remain competitive and efficient.
“Thanks to our partnership with WesTrac, we equip our machinery with cutting-edge control technology, keeping our clients productive and maintaining an edge over our competitors.”
FTX was one of WesTrac’s very first customers, so it’s only fitting that both organisations mark 20 years of service across New South Wales this year.
To commemorate FTX’s 20-year anniversary, Tom has branded his recently acquired special edition black Cat 140 Motor Grader with a custom 20-year logo - a logo he also added to an exclusive range of FTX merchandise that he gifted to his team.
The Cat 140 Motor Grader offers superior performance and precision with advanced control technology, exceptional durability, and enhanced operator comfort, making it ideal for a wide range of grading applications.
This machine joins FTX’s extensive fleet, which has recently grown with the addition of another Cat 259D3 Compact Track Loader with a GB124 Smart Grader Blade (pictured in the gallery above), both fitted with the latest Trimble Earthworks technology. In the video below, Tom talks to Caterpillar about why he chooses this setup.
WesTrac Sales Representative Buddhi Edirisuriya has played a key role in FTX’s growth, supporting the business relationship to develop into a long-term partnership.
“One of the aspects I enjoy about my role at WesTrac is collaborating with clients like Tom and assisting them in reaching their goals and achieving success through our products, services, and technologies,” Buddhi says.
“It is truly special to share in FTX’s success as the company marks 20 years of operating across New South Wales, and I congratulate Tom on the incredible achievement.”
FTX views an opportunity to become a one-stop shop for its clients, not just by providing late model equipment fitted with all requirements, but across all aspects of reliability and productivity.
Tom adds that they aim to be one of the best, supplying skilled and reliable operators who are proud to represent FTX and ensure clients' projects remain productive.
“I look forward to many more years of servicing New South Wales, with WesTrac providing leading technology and innovation to help us succeed into the future.”
