Perth's Resources Technology Showcase (RTS) is a family-friendly free exhibition that runs every year. It gives the general public a chance to see the amazing technology and innovation driving the mining, resources, defence and space industries in Western Australia. RTS returned to Perth in 2021 in late June, having skipped 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
WesTrac and Caterpillar were RTS partners in 2021, with a giant equipment display setup in Elizabeth Quay and a booth inside the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Our display ran for nine days, from June 19-27. We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth and display during this time period. From the school students at the Perth Convention Centre discovering the latest technology the WA mining industry has to offer, to our youngest (and oldest) Cat® fans getting behind the controls of a mini excavator for a dig in the heart of Perth CBD, the showcase inspired many.
Over the nine day period, tens of thousands of attendees came to check out our large machinery display where we had a Cat D10T2 Dozer, a 988K XE Wheel Loader, as well as live demonstrations on the latest Next Generation Excavator technology.
