WesTrac customers are getting the chance to test drive two new Cat Compact Track Loaders, as Australia’s leading Cat dealer WesTrac continues to host a series of roadshows across the state throughout late August and September.

First launched at Sydney’s National Diesel Dirt and Turf Conference this year, the Cat 255 and 265 Compact Track Loaders are the first Next Generation Compact Track Loaders to hit the market.

Replacing the best-selling Cat 259D3, 279D3 and 289D3, these two new models build on the success of the D3 series by offering customer-driven enhancements and the latest industry-first features and innovation.

The new Cat 255 and 265 Compact Track Loaders have improved engine performance and stability, higher lift and break-out ability, and greater operator comfort thanks to a larger cab design.

The upgraded engines in both machines maintain horsepower across a wider RPM range and boast significant torque increases, including gains of up to 43 per cent over previous models – resulting in significantly improved working performance.

Additionally, a redesigned engine compartment mounts the engine and cooling package lower into the frame for improved stability, giving the operator confidence in handling heavy loads.

packed with technology

Importantly, the Cat 255 and 265 Compact Track Loaders also incorporate cutting-edge technology by Caterpillar® which provides greater fleet management control.

Through cloud-based software VisionLink®, companies and operators can track machine hours, location, asset utilisation and any fault codes while delivering advanced monitoring, analytics, and information on machine health.

These new loaders can also be equipped with either standard or advanced monitors, depending on the technology package selected, offering the ability to run Cat Smart Attachments such as dozer blades, grader blades and a backhoe.

Both monitors contain Bluetooth connectivity, functionality for rearview camera feed, creep, job clock, maintenance reminders, and feature 32 language choices.

The advanced monitor takes operator function to the next level, providing a higher level of control, delivering on-joystick radio control, and supporting a 270-degree multicamera.
