PERFORMANCE AND PRODUCTIVITY

• The C4.4 engine can operate on either ultra-low-sulfur diesel or B20 biodiesel and meets EU Stage IV emission standards.

LOWER MAINTENANCE COSTS

• Reach routine maintenance items like fuel and engine oil filters and fluid taps at ground level.
• An upper carriage auto lubrication system and minimal undercarriage greasing points reduce maintenance time.
• The electric lift pump removes the need to prime the fuel system and fuel/water separator.
• The axial fan and all coolers are gathered in the same compartment. Radiators are easy to clean and can be unlocked and tilted without any tool.

SUSTAINABILITY

• The Cat® C4.4 engine meets EU Stage V emission standards.
• Cat diesel engines are required to use ULSD (ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel with 15 ppm of sulfur or less) or ULSD blended with the following lower-carbon intensity fuels up to: 20% biodiesel FAME (fatty acid methyl ester) * or 100% renewable diesel, HVO (hydrogenated vegetable oil) and GTL (gas-to-liquid) fuels. Refer to guidelines for successful application. Please consult your Cat dealer or “Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations” (SEBU6250) for details.
• Auto Engine Speed Control helps reduce unnecessary fuel burn and greenhouse gas emissions by allowing the engine to automatically go into idle mode when the machine is not working.
• Engine Idle Shutdown Timer reduces fuel burn, greenhouse gas emissions and unnecessary idle time by shutting down the machine after a pre-set idling period.
